Jess & Scott were meant to have got married in 2020 and their rescheduled date in April 2021 still had a large number of restrictions attached to it, but rather than postpone the date once again Jess was insistent that they make the most of the day no matter what. With lockdown partially released they only had two weeks to get the dress fittings arranged and all the other details for the day sorted [which also included moving the livestock so they could be in the couple shots, knocking down their old house & create a driveway to their newly build home] !
And they did it. The church looked beautiful with crabapple trees at the entrance, the sheep and cattle had all been moved and Jess & Scott's new home was all ready for the couple shots after the ceremony.
The day was the sunniest of spring days and one of those days I won't forget in a hurry. I was so touched at seeing a number of friends and family who weren't able to come into the church due to COVID restrictions, standing patiently outside for the couple to emerge with confetti in hand. It reminded me how much we have all missed weddings, so here's to a year of happier times & a lifetime of happiness to Jess & Scott x
